A New Landmark of Development to the Rio Grande do Sul State: Sanctioned and Promulgated the Innovation Law

The Governor from Rio Grande do Sul State in Brazil sanctioned and promulgated the Innovation Law of Rio Grande do Sul State, Law nº 13.196 on July 13, 2009.

The Art.27 and first paragraph of Innovation Law from Rio Grande do Sul is very important, because define who will receive the financial incentives, fiscal and special. credit to accomplish the objectives determined in this Law: 

“First Paragraph: Will be  beneficiary of this financial and fiscal incentives the federal or state universities and others public or private entities and enterprises for this authorized, according the legislation, with the condition of a productive unity and/or a center of research installed in the Rio Grande do Sul State as researchers and scientists that live in the State, with credentials and with approved project by agencies that stimulate science, technology  and innovation.”

As stated above we conclude that the Innovation Law will incentive the public and private enterprises and persons that work with science, technology and innovation in the Rio Grande do Sul State.
